[Solved] 88 Chrysler Fifth Avenue lean burn to EFI

Good morning. I have a 1988 Chrysler Fifth Avenue with the lean burn carb system and I'm considering switching to the Holley Sniper EFI 550-849K kit, as components related to the lean burn are becoming difficult to find and replace. Is electronic fuel injection the best route for this old Chrysler 318? Otherwise, car is in nice shape.

I forgot to mention, the car has 103,000 on it.

"Best route"..is a kinda ambiguous word here.. Best in what way?   If its an elegant system go with the Sniper but go quick and dirty then go conventional after market carburetor.   The carb would be far far easier to utilize.  Maybe even buy an intake manifold as well.

But its all about what you want to do and your priorities..

By best route, I meant would I be better off going with efi versus going with a what is known as a lean burn delete, where my technician would remove the computer and the lean burn carburetor and install a traditional carb. I've had 4 of these Fifth Avenues in the past, with no issues with the lean burn system, but this car is 33 years old and it's been 15 years since the last one I owned, so now many components for the lean burn to operate properly are extremely difficult to find or just altogether obsolete. Over the last week I've done more research on lean burn delete and electronic fuel injection conversion kits, and all I'll say is I'm glad I don't live where emissions testing is required, because I would be out of luck with either the lean burn delete or the efi conversion.
