Abs light on, codes 13,12, 05, 07, 09. Ran codes at auto part store using "innova 5300 LaT"

Just bought the 1998 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0  4×4... The rear wheel sensors were disconnected under back seat. I reconnected them but have not driven yet, the pads look like they are only rubbing on middle of rotor on both rear rotors, i think the pads are thin. Have not taken wheels off yet for further inspection and have not inspected wheel bearings yet. Have not tested gaps and resistance on wheel speed sensors yet, have not looked at front brakes at all yet. Waiting on the scan tool for abs in the mail at the moment, the one scotty suggested on his videos. The break fluid reservoir is warped where cap coes on into a sort of rounded triangle shape, the cap no longer went on tight so i replaced the cap and i think its sealing well now, so i suppose that means the brakes and fluid got real hot at one point. Plenty of fluid in reservoir. Also a burnt plastic smell coming from the vehicle after driving it home after buying it. Doesnt make that smell when sitting still. So i imagine thats the brakes. So my question is mainly what do you think i might be looking at to get the abs system fixed? What tests on what components do you suggest to start with i imagine? Thanks for your time and knowledge. Im trying to get this jeep road ready for my wife and get it inspected. After i fix brakes, then i need to address o2 sensors on check engine light, which ill fix with a tuneup, new exhaust, and new 02 sensors, maybe a headgasket replacement and whatnot too. So the question was specifically the abs system and where to start possible component failures and test procedure. Thanks again.

The most common cause of ABS failure on older vehicles is typically the wheel sensors. Suspension and steering movements flexes the cables and ultimately they give out. A good enough scan tool would pinpoint bad wheel sensors in seconds. If you have no access to that you can visually inspect cables and test the sensors. (A vehicle that old probably has 2-wire magnetic sensors that can be checked for proper resistance with an ohm meter. Specs vary on different vehicles but would usually be around 1K ohms.)
