Their vehicles have mixed reviews and seems questionable when it comes to long term reliability. They say it's a crap brand but others say it's a reliable brand especially for someone who maintained it religiously. Just curious how reliable are pre owned Mitsubishi SUV 2017 and up I want to buy one they're stylish, fun to drive and costs less while Toyota SUVs are just plain ugly and bland.
Not really. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries specializes in aerospace products, cars are a side thing. Mitsubishi is almost getting out of the car business and just badge engineering Renault vehicles soon. My father-in-law has badge engineered 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. It's a badge engineered Renault. They have the same Jatco automatic transmission that Nissan uses, and it's below par. If you're a maintenance freak, it may last a while, not anywhere near Toyota, though.
If it's a genuine Mitsubishi vehicle, they tend to burn oil as they age, and they have the same Jatco transmission.
Personally, I'd get the Toyota, Toyota as really upped their game for designing stylish vehicles.
Agree with @justin-shepherd. Mitsubishi has made some good stuff over the years. But IMO they and Nissan are the weak sisters now among the Japanese brands regarding quality. Those are also the 2 brands I have the most concerns about regarding future dealer support.
Do you think any of this automakers models are worth considering? It’ll be used primarily as a commute vehicle with an expected annual mileage of around 8-10k. Thank you.
we just had this question the other day, so I've merged your topic.
