Are old audis any good I heard some where easy to work on like the 1990-1994 Audi 100 Quattro non turbo wagon is this true or are they hard and expensive to repair I know parts are a little more expensive but I would be ok with that, can it be a daily driver for a few years if one is fixed? And I only travel 15 miles a day I really want a cool retro wagon and I like German cars and always wanted a flashy wagon is it worth it or is it way to hard and expensive to keep up on?

What sticks in my mind about Audi is this photo I saw years ago and saved of what you need to do to replace an Audi thermostat. (I don't recall the year or model.)

Yeah man I get you. As an owner of a 1987 bmw they are pretty cool. I also don't mind the extra maintenance. That being said. This is probably one of them that you got to dedicate your own time and not shop time to maintain. I remember when I first got me bmw the shop quoted me 4.5 grand just to pump out some gas and fix a couple vacuum leaks and replace most of the worn 30 year old hoses. I did it myself for just a couple hundred bucks and a few weekends.

So if you find one in relatively good shape then good on ya. Hope you'd be happy with it. But your eyes are gonna pop out them sockets if you go look at the repair bills from shops, especially with 20 year old rubber and plastic, them Germans are not exactly known for their plastics especially. I can't tell you the amount of OE clips I've snapped on German vehicles both old and new.
