Hello, I am shopping for a used Sedan and have it narrowed down to Lexus ES350, Avalons and Camrys. I am on Nada guides and looking at clean retail values for Avalon LTD and the ES350 - 2010 - 1520,000 miles. The clean retail price Avalon = $9,075 vs $7,950 ES350. Why is the Avalon listing higher when the Lexus is the luxury brand and I thought both cars are basically the same engine and reputation for reliability. Very curious about this one. Thanks in advance.
Like Scotty said those prices are useless miles condition location etc. service history title will all have different factors on the price I bet you could get any of them for the price you'd like so just stick to what you want.
The Avalon is basically the most Lexus like Toyota there is without the maintenance and repair costs.
Cool thanks sounds like any additional costs I might see with Avalons are offset by the long term care. I’ll narrow down to getting a great deal on Camry and Avalons.
well those prices are pretty much Fantasyland anyway but they have lots are very popular cars that's why it has more to do with popularity than anything else
Thanks @scottykilmer
Do you mean the Avalons are very popular cars that explains the difference in value? Or do you mean something else?
The Lexus will cost more to maintain with all probability and that may be part of it. I think the prices are similar from what I have seen but in this case if you can find the Lexus cheaper I would go for it. And those prices are not in Fantasyland like Scotty is saying. Make sure you get the car checked by a good mechanic before you buy any car.
Thanks good to think about that too for sure.
