Brakes, & 95,000 mile check up?

Hi Scotty

first, thank you so much for everything you !

I have a 2015 Toyota Sienna LE, that I bought in 2018, it now has just over 96,000 miles, I think 2 Wheel Dr.

When I back up, and I break, it seems to make a sound that sounds sort of like a horn. This has been going on several months.

All seems to be working OK though. Could this be a brake issue and or anything else that I need to have checked out?

Also, I am just over 96,000 miles. Does this van need a 95,000 mile check up? Or anything else at 95,000 miles?

I do get regular oil changes, but sadly, I’ve been going to what used to be Jiffy Lube, is now Valvoline.

I was concerned that possibly one or another car mechanic might be trying to push too many other things on me to sell me when I was there, so it was simpler to go to these quickie places. I know absolutely nothing about cars.

thank you so much for everything you do! I love your videos

Andi

Don’t go to jiffy Lube or valvoline. Use an honest independent shop that uses quality oil and filters, or learn to change it yourself.

Check your owners manual for one thing, but as Scotty says, have an honest independent mechanic check it out as well.

Well, if you check the pads and they're thick and there's nothing wrong with them, that generally means that your rotors are shiny. It doesn't hurt anything, but if you don't like the noise, you'd have to replace the rotors and the pads which would be shiny from hitting the rotors. As for the checkup, basically $95,000 mi you want a guy like me to just go through it. There's no actual Justice and that you need a good mechanic to check out everything to see if anything's worn
