😀 New radiator new thermostat. Tried with no thermostat still overheats and now won't start. Its a 2004 Kia Sedona van V6 3.5ltr.
Check the site FAQ for information on troubleshooting a no-start condition.
Is the water pump original (18 years old)? Impeller blades could be loose or corroded and not pumping sufficient coolant.
Has the timing belt been replaced per the factory schedule? That's every 60K miles or 60 months, whichever comes first. (The belt should have been changed at least 3 times by now.) Even if it did not completely break, a belt that is past its use-by date could skip time. (The 3.5 V6 is an interference engine.)
If the engine overheated you might want to check compression since a head gasket could have blown. If it overheated severely enough the head or block could have even warped. (More likely the head since as I recall the block is cast iron on that engine.)
It started before. Will pull plugs to check for water/ antifreeze. Nothing in Oil nothing out of exaust when it ran. Thx
Please check the FAQ -> no start
