Hey Scotty I have a very big problem. I have a 2000 Honda Accord 2.3L auto with 177,XXX miles and it sometimes doesn’t want to start. It’s always been a no crank no start. And that has always been problem. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn’t and then I have to wait 30 minutes and it starts perfectly. But now for a couple days it has not started and I have replaced every fluid in the car. I just did a timing belt, water pump replacement as well as the crankshaft position sensor and after that it still started fine. I have tested for spark and that was fine. I have replaced the battery with a brand new one, new starter, new main/fuel pump relay, brand new fuel pump assembly, new ignition switch and all of this was within the last 100 miles because I wanted to get rid of that problem but now it won’t start at all, all of a sudden. I know for sure all of the other things were installed correctly because the car started after all of those parts being replaced. And weather is not a factor it does this in the summer and cold winter. I do have a check engine. One code which is p0135 but that’s for oxygen sensor and I have already bought two oem ones and the code still doesn’t go away I don’t think that has anything to do with it not starting. I also have an old Toyota Highlander that has had the same code, a faulty oxygen sensor for 6 years but that always starts perfectly so I assume that shouldn’t be a problem for a car not to start. I really can’t think of anything else that could be wrong.
Classic example of why you shouldn’t throw parts at a car without correctly diagnosing the problem, first.
Sounds like you have some bad wiring, I’d check that thoroughly.
Watch Scotty’s video on ‘how to fix a car that won’t start when you turn the key’ in the FAQ section of this website.
For the P0135, check the fuse & electrical connections & pray the ECU isn’t the root of all your problems. https://www.engine-codes.com/p0135_honda.html
I don't know if this is one of the relay's you changed. There is a relay right underneath the steering wheel. I don't know what it is called.
I had the same symptoms. No start. Wait a bit. And then starts. The relay under the steering wheel did the trick. I don't remember which exactly relay it was, as it was 10+ years ago when I had this problem.
It had to be electrical!
