Celica still rides rough after replacing struts

I have a 1997 Celica GT manual transmission with 109k miles. I replaced the struts with aftermarket KYB Excel G struts. I also replaced the strut mounts, stabilizer bar links, ball joints, and the outer tie rod ends. I reused the stock springs because they are still in good condition. The car rides stiffer which was expected, its not bouncy anymore. The original rear shocks were completely shot. But after driving it for a day the ride just got worse. Its bad going over rough pavement and bumps. When I drive over rough pavement, it almost sounds likes I’m driving on gravel from inside the cabin. What puzzles me is that if I jack the car up and put it on 4 jack stands and then put it back down the car rides like it has a new suspension and the road noise is much more quiet. But after about 15 to 20 miles it starts getting worse and you start to feel every bump in the road. I don’t know what is going on. Is it possible I just got bad quality struts or could’ve I done something wrong? I was thinking of possibly replacing the control arm bushings but they aren’t that bad from what I can see. Thank you for any answers!

Sounds to me like you just got bad struts. If they work fine for a few minutes and then wear out that would mean the internals to the struts can't take the going up and down and then they no longer absorb shocks
