Just use a legitimate brand of oil and the exact weight specified in your owners manual, that's all you need to do. See which store has what brand on sale and get that.

Never heard of them before, but reading the claims they make it sounds like snake oil.

"Self-cleaning" oil supposedly good for 15,000 or 30,000 miles? Give me a break! Then they make a big deal on their site about being "ISO 14034 Verified". That has nothing to do with the legitimacy or performance of their products, it's about environmental standards in the production of those products.

More to the point, are Cerma oils API certified? A quick look at their site finds nothing said about that. (No results searching their main page or oil product page for "API".) In fact the photos of their oil products have what at first glance may look like an API certification starburst, but on closer inspection is in fact an "SIC Lubrication" logo - apparently something Cerma themselves concocted.

All looks very scammy and I'd steer clear. Just stick with a leading brand of oil that is API certified and meets the car manufacturer's specifications.

See our FAQ: "Which oil should I use?"

I think deep purple and all those boutique oils are spectacular waste of money. Especially on an Impala.
