I know you basically say to stay away from Chevy’s and Turbos.
But I currently have a 2020 V6 Colorado.’
im thinking about getting a 2024 Colorado.
which do you think is better in the long run the V6 or the 4cy Turbo?
thank you

Neither of them. Also, who knows how the new generation will hold up but knowing GM’s poor track record it will be disappointing. The new turbocharged engine has cylinder deactivation, amongst other complexities.
If you have led foot and don't intend to baby it, get a V6.
Well, the V6 motor is pretty good. The turbo 4 also is probably OK, with the usual caveats about forced-induction engines.
The issue, however, isn't the engine, it's the transmission. The 8-speed transmission on your 2020 is a definite sore spot. There is a significant risk that the torque converter will need service at some point. (I believe there is a class-action suit ongoing regarding that transmission.)
The 2024 also uses the GM 8-speed transmission, but an upgraded version. Does it have the same problems as the older ones? It could, but presumably they have addressed the issue to some extent.
Given the better fit and finish on the '24, and given you know that the transmission on the '20 is a potential problem, I would probably upgrade to the new one if budget allows.
(BTW: you probably know, but there are 3 different tunes available on the new engine, making 3 different HP levels. Probably makes sense to avoid the most juiced version and stick with one of the more conservative tunes.)
The new turbocharged 4 engine in the Colorado has cylinder deactivation.
