Hi there! I have a Ford Escape 2015, 1.6 turbo 4WD, 67k, no OBD codes. When engine is shut off PCM relay makes clicking noises and throttle body sounds like if it was in use. It does that for quite a while. Yesterday it was doing that for more than 20 minutes. If I don't turn it on in 24+ hours I will have a drained battery. Already changed the relay and it does the same thing. Could it be a bad PCM?
If the throttle plate can't completely close the PCM will continue to try after you shut off your Escape.
In your case you may want to try cleaning the throttle body. Disconnect the battery while you're doing it.
That way by the time you're done cleaning the throttle body the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) in the computer will be cleared, the throttle plate will be able to completely close, and the problem should be fixed. (hopefully)
