Should I repair the car before selling

ive had the timing chain replaced on this care, bought it used 69,000 in 2015, it has a little over 164,000, runs smooth, engine light comes on, after driven about an hour, loses pressure while driving, take my feet off the gas, it builds back up, epc lights comes on, its gonna cost me $250 for a complete diagnosis , my son paid $3,800 to have the timing chain replaced along with the water pump, new battery, in 2022, i need the car, and want to sell it after we get the repairs done, can you shed some light on this problem for me, i'm a widow and i don't want to get stranded driving this car

Well fixing a car then selling it often. You lose money. If you can find an honest mechanic like me in your area, ask your friends. They could give you a good idea of what it's worth and what the problem is and how much would cost to fix it. Then you decide whether fixing it is an option or not because you don't want to throw money into an endless money pit
