Friends on the market for diesels have been asking me lately if the Titan with the 5.0 Cummins are good trucks. I know that's a solid engine, but does anyone know about the quality of the rest of the truck? How would it compare to an equivalent RAM 2500 with the cummins? Unfortunately some people just refuse to be converted to 6.7 Powerstroke! {black}:blushed:

6.7 Powerstroke is a great motor, just paired with a terrible transmission. I miss the 6R80.
About the same. Neither the Ram nor the Titan are good quality trucks.
RAM is going to hold up better. The Cummins in the Titan is decent but not great. I think it was more an experiment for Cummins and realized that it’s just better for them to stick to what they do best. The 6.7 Cummins is proven itself time and time again as being ahead of the pack for durability and longevity. With that being said yea the Ram itself is built cheap. The people who buy RAM heavy duty trucks don’t buy the RAM. They buy the Cummins and replace the parts as they wear with better. For me I’d buy the RAM in the lowest trim package to avoid anything extra that really isn’t needed for a truck that’s actually going to be used for it’s intended purpose. There’s plenty of late model 6.7 Cummins pushing over the 400k mi range and still wanting more.
