I live in Canada. I bought a brand new civic 2022 2.0L CVT a year ago and now the car has more than 7000 km, the roads in my area are bad and have lots of bumpers but not too crazy, lots of civic and corolla from 2000 still driving around. About a week ago I feel that the steering need to turn about 5 degree to the right to make the car go straight, with Zero noise and Zero vibration, I wasn't hit anything cause I love my car tried to drive safely. I think it needs an alignment so I go to a Honda dealer near my house ( It is different from the dealer where I bought the car ), and they said:" PASSENGER FRONT SUSPENSION DAMAGED, PHYSICALLY SEE THE TIRE IT PASSED FENDER, START WITH KNUCKLE/BEARING VISUALLY CAN SEE THE PASSENGER FRONT IS BENT SOMEWHERE CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING ON THE HOIST(NO CLEAR INDICATION OF WHERE) SO WOULD HAVE TO START WITH A KNUCKLE AND BEARING COULD ATTEMPT AN ALIGNMENT TO SEE IF WE CAN MAKE THE VEHICLE MORE DRIVABLE " they tried to make me pay $1100 cad included labor to replace the bearing and knuckle. But I do not trust them cause I believe my own eyes see Nothing passed fender. What do you think Scotty??

First of all it would be great if you don't yell it out in BOLD because that won't solve anything. But to your question, they are called stealerships for a reason; they are in the business of making money. So if you have a trusted independent mechanic take it to them and have them take a look at the car and see what the issue is. But just keep in mind that if you have hit something or even a bump or whatever that has caused some kind of damage don't expect the warranty to cover it because it was damage caused by you and not an issue with the car.

Never trust a dealership. Have you hit anything that could have caused the damage. If it truly was bent it would have to be a big hit. Take the vehicle to independent suspension shop to get a second opinion . If it is damaged you should hopefully get a better deal to fix it.

As others have said have an independent mechanic (not a chain shop like Firestone etc.) verify it. Even if the suspension turns out to be damaged by road hazards you can have the repair work done at less expense than at the stealership.
