I have a trouble with disconnecting an AC line from a radiator. I noticed that its got a big hole in it so i ordered a whole hose which i want to replace. When i try to unbolt it with a wrench some plastic thing that's connected to it and the hose on the other side (which leads further to radiator) bends and make it impossible to have a hard grip on it and loosen it. This lines are visible from the cars front so some dirt might got into it and I thought that it still may be factory part. For now I sprayed it with some wd-40. Any ideas or techniques that would maybe be helpful. Maybe I should put something hard in between to prevent this unit from twisting so I can make it.
A photo might be helpful.
is this a good idea to replace the whole unit (dryer) after I connect everything with new AC lines
Yes, definitely replace the drier. It should be the last thing installed just before pulling vacuum. They're only supposed to be exposed to air for a few minutes. If you system has been open for a long time the drier will be saturated from exposure to atmospheric moisture.
@chucktobias is this necessary to vacuum the system just after the dryer replacement or after I hook up the ac lines, or this can wait for some time let's say a week for me to find time to go to the service and tell them to vacuum it. Can postponing the vacuum thing actually damage the dryer?
Any long-term exposure to atmospheric moisture will saturate and damage the drier. Vacuum should be pulled as soon as possible after the new drier is installed. Best practice, if you have your own pump, is immediately after it's installed.
I guess the next question is how do i paste an image here then?
Still don't know how but i can provide these links of images i've taken

@speedy_turtle108 Presumably you did not read the topic "READ THIS FIRST - Forum Guide" near the top of the main page which among other things provides instructions for photos and videos. You're close but it's better if you use a direct link so the photos appears inline in your post.
My apologies, indeed I didn't read this. So fir future reference, the "html full linked" option will do the job?
@speedy_turtle108 Yes, that's the best way to post photos. As you can see that way they display directly in your post.
Ok so according to my question. Any ideas how to unscrew it? I'm not really in a hurry so should I keep spraying wd-40 on it and wait so eventually it comes loose? I don't wanna to break this because then it just means more money
@speedy_turtle108 I don't see anything unusual there, it looks to me that if you get a wrench on both sides of the fitting it should just come loose unless it's corroded.
The hose is exposed from the front and if it's even possible that its still factory then it's 25 years old. So yeah probably I'll give it some time for wd-40 to do it's job
Alright I got a bonus question, I'm confused and I'll post it here because it's still related to AC. Probably 2 of the lines got wrecked, first it is condenser-compressor line, and second dryer-compressor. System was open for a long time so surely there's air inside. Since the dryer is a part that needs replacing from time to time, now I'm wondering about replacing it too (or the filter inside, not sure it's worth though). So the question - is this a good idea to replace the whole unit (dryer) after I connect everything with new AC lines, and then attempt to evacuate the system from air. Also is there anything I missed that needs maintenance by the way?
