Should I buy a Dorman brake master cylinder from Amazon for $35?

I'm debating on whether or not to get a master brake cylinder on Amazon that's from Dorman autoparts. Never heard of the brand but is the price too good to be true for $35?

I don not buy any important auto parts on Amazon or Ebay.  I don't trust them to be authentic or new for that matter.  What exactly does "open box" really mean anyway?  The Dorman parts I've bought come from local parts store and I don't get anything without a limited lifetime warranty and I keep the receipts.

That ACDelco master cylinder leaked at the rear seal, new out of the box. Gave it back. Either GM's Hencho en China part and quality control, or Amazon employees rough handling the box are suspect.

What kind of car are you driving? Dorman is a decent brand for some things.  They make rear shock mounts for my Ranger and I've had no issues with them. Amazon had the OEM AC/DELCO master cylinder for my 1979 Pontiac Catalina for $22 and change, so $35 would be expensive. All depends on your car, add that to your posts from now on 🙂
