Looking at a set of Douglas all season tires at WalMart. Hadn't ever heard of them but found out they're owned by Goodyear, and produced in the USA at the Kelly/Springfield tire factory.

The price for 205/65/15 is $51 each. I've tried some milestars that are made in Thailand, and the ride was sub par for even a budget tire.

Scotty I'm curious if you have any experience with the Douglas brand? If so what are your thoughts.

In a market filled with Chinese budget tires, it looks like there's a American company trying to compete. I like that.

They're good tires for the price and as you note are not Chinese-made. I have a set on one of my older cars that isn't driven much and they're fine. Some Douglas tires are made overseas though, my latest set came from Brazil.

My current go-to tire for vehicles that see regular use is the General Altimax RT43, which is a very nice mid-price tire. (General is owned by Continental.)

My dad swore by General tires and Cooper. They were the only thing you'd see on his vehicle. Thanks for the input of the Douglas brand. They'd be going on our teens first car, so I'm sure I'll be able to give a complete sidewall review in due time LoL

I use Kelly-Springfield tires when I want a budget tire. If they're made in the same plant as Douglas tires, I wouldn't question them at all. I have a set of Kelly Edge All-Terrain tires on my Ford Ranger and they're great tires for $500, Made in USA. Generally, anything in the "Budget" category Made in USA will be of much better quality than anything that's Hencho en China under the "Budget" category.
