hello, Scotty love your channel I need help I have a small Suzuki car and emits blue smoke in the morning on the first start-up and the rest of the day it's fine what could be the problem its 2004 and mileage is about 200000 km and its has a carburetor and distributor I have searched on the internet and found out that could be mainly due to to bad head valve or the Mobil oil I change the oil every 3000 km and I use pso Mobil oil. I haven't felt any difference in the drive except sometimes the drive is not smooth and I have also checked the engine oil it is not decreasing. I have consulted a mechanic and he said that the engine needs to be overhauled so i m thinking to buying an engine from a junkyard instead of overhauling it kindly help

Don’t bother rebuilding that clunker!

Use that money to buy yourself another well made, used vehicle instead. Look for an old Honda Jazz/Fit/Yaris which still have good engines & transmissions.

That Suzuki’s interiors & body panels are ready to fall off at that age/mileage & I’m surprised the rattles don’t drive you mad, already.

actually, here in Pakistan, all the makers are making crappy cars even Toyota and honda their build quality is so poor so it doesn't satisfy oneself for paying a lot of money, and even buying a used car is a pain in the butt. that's why I was the thing to repairing it by my self

The interior build quality may be poor, but the engines wouldn’t usually require a rebuild at just 200,000 kms. I have seen cheaply made Avanza MPVs go past 500,000kms with the engine & transmission untouched. Just regular/routine maintenance. Suzuki on the other hand..

Your car burns oil during startup.

This can be caused by many different issues.

a failure at only 200,000km is very strange for a Suzuki, usually you wouldn’t see any issues this serious until 300,000km.

If your Suzuki has a CVT, or if it was used for very short drives - I wouldn’t recommend spending any serious money on fixing this issue.

when I see cars that do that, that’s usually something serious. Usually it’s something in the cylinder (cylinder sleeves getting worn out/ piston rings going bad / …), and due to thermal expansion, it gets temporarily “solved” after start.

If you want to fix it and keep the car, I’d recommend you don’t wait for too long.

Just go to a mechanic that knows how to work on these and ask him what he thinks causes the issue.

That being said, I’ve seen Suzuki M and K series engines last way over 300,000km and a failure at just 200,000km is very uncharacteristic!

no, it is manual transmission I have searched from youtube mostly I have seen the problem is with head valve seals I was thinking of fixing it by my self because it is hard to find a good mechanic here in Pakistan

You can find out if is the rings or the valve seals by doing a wet/dry compression check. It would be a good idea to see which, and how far gone the engine is to plan what to do next,

Post the results here and these folks can give you an evaluation.
