Engine oil consumption

Topic starter

2005 Honda Accord, EX 4 cylinder - 213,000 miles.

I change my oil every 3,000 miles. Within the past 6 months I've had to add a quart of oil before the next change is due. I had the front seals changed and don't see any oil dripping down on my driveway. I don't even see oil burning from the tail pipe.

Any suggestions? The car runs great.

Thank you.

a quart every 3000? In a 16 year old car with over 200,000 miles? buy some oil And don't worry about it until you use a quart every 500 miles.

Just an opinion

the only low cost thing that i have heard is to change the pvc valve

Always use a new PCV valve with each oil change.  You'll be glad you did.
