EVs you would NOT consider

More and more car brand platforms are coming out with Electric Vehicles.  Assuming your next car is an EV, which brand platforms would you NOT consider when purchasing an EV?

You forgot about Hyundai-Kia they’re a major EV maker with their Ioniq EV Niro EV.
((But the SCC autopilot, assuming it’s the same as the Niro HEV ive been driving, is very mediocre))

That’s right! Thanks for the reminder reminder.

The survey was meant to check the boxes of EV’s you would NOT consider.

Fair enough, I checked all the boxes.

I have a 2017 Ford Focus Electric at my parents house and works great and had spent almost nothing on maintenance (Still has original tires and brakes) but the next EV, definitely not gonna be Ford because there are better-built ones. We are looking into VW/Audi or Nissan with the upcoming Ariya or maybe Volvo with the polestar 2

Ooh. I didn’t have Nissan listed. What is there tech like compared to VW and Tesla?

The Nissan is definitely more user-friendly, but VW and Audi are also really good. IMO both are better than Tesla and IMO the worst tech is Mercedes because everything is ridiculously complicated to use and it makes your head spin. You hop into an EQS, it's just a wall of screens with weird layouts and menus and touch controls.

Also, we are considering the upcoming Nissan Ariya because it's practical and it's gonna be made in Japan for North America, and it's built in the same factory where they are gonna build the new Nissan Z and the current GT-R. Also, Nissan has over a decade of experience making EVs.

The only EV I would consider would be a Tesla.

Certainly not GM or Ford. They can't make gas vehicles.

I would not buy any EV to begin with.

Anyone of current ones. They cost too much to buy. And some dealers in my area have come up with an idea of battery lease.

The technology is not reliable enough yet in my opinion. I’m sure people felt the same way about the internal combustion engine when it first came out. I’m not against an EV truck. But I need an EV truck that can do truck things and not have the battery completely drain right away under load. And can get dirty and keep up in the remote and harsh areas I work from. And I don’t see that happening soon, also I don’t think there will be a real used market for EVs in the long run. As far as everyone saying they’re to expensive well……. EVERYTHING CAR AND TRUCK RELATED IS EXPENSIVE. Look at new f150s and GM trucks gas and diesel trucks. Not much different in price really.

'EVERYTHING CAR AND TRUCK RELATED IS EXPENSIVE'
At least where I live, electric cars and hybrids cost far more than ICE vehicles.

@g-t I can buy a new loaded platinum f450 for the same or more than most EVs. Same with GM and RAM. Yes, new EVs are expensive but there are just as many ICE or diesels that are just as expensive or more.

Yes, but f450 is probably far more useful and will hold longer than an EV of similar price. A normal diesel or petrol car with in capability range of that EV costs lot less.

Interesting, I was mentioned but did not receive any notice @carkillerapp
