I was looking at purchasing a 2018-2020 Honda Accord touring as my first car. I’m 18 and i think it’ll be a good first car with all the advanced technology it has. Why do people say to get the 2.0L turbo over the 1.5? And do you think this is a good choice ?

Scotty addresses this a lot. The 1.5L turbo also has direct injection. It's pretty much the Honda version of Ford's EcoBoost. They can have problems with gasoline dilution in the motor oil, causing premature wear.
If I remember correctly, the 2.0 turbo doesn't have direct injection, only the turbo, but I could be mistaken.
