Hey! I was thinking about buying a Honda Accord sedan and I have a budget of $8k and most of the accords I’ve seen are over 120k miles. What’s the mileage range I should keep an eye on and what should I expect for that price ?

Have you considered a Civic? You can get a NICE one in your budget.

For your price, in an Accord, you're looking at over 100k miles most likely. If maintained well they can run LONG past that, but you'll want a mechanic to inspect it and verify it doesn't have any issues before you buy.

Yeah you’re right and I did notice that as well. I’m gonna start looking at Toyota Camrys because I just really don’t like anything about the civics lol Accords are where it’s at and I might just get one as my real first car purchase after I get a cheap one for now.

The Honda Accord is a very reliable sedan, but that depends on the year as well. There are years like 2003 and 2008 you should avoid. I would use http://www.carcomplaints.com to find issues with specific years and which to avoid. You should also consider a Honda Civic, or a Toyota Camry. You would want to know the mechanical condition of it before purchase so have a mechanic check it out.

The mileage range should not exceed 100 120k miles at most. Sometimes highway miles 120 130 but in general you want not too many miles in good mechanical shape.

That’s a nice website to keep an eye out for. I really liked what the Accord looks like and wanted it as my first car but it seems like I should explore other cars and I’ll do just that. I found some really sweet deals on Camrys
