Ford - Quality is Job nOne

@coyoteman180 Most people have bad luck on Fords at a very early mileage. So you must have gotten lucky. Give us updates or experiences when you encounter a problem.

Well, that didn't take long.

Thankfully I have not had any first-hand experience with modern Fords. The last one I owned was a 1966 Fairlane with a 289 V8 and three-on-the-tree manual transmission. That thing took all the abuse an inexperienced young driver could throw at it and just kept going.

Found on road dead.

Fix Or Repair Daily

Ford Only Runs Downhill

Mine usually doesn't make it to the road so I can't really think of a good one aside from calling it Super Detritus.

Maybe I'll rename it to "the lot lizard" or "old incontinent"😄

Sour grapes.

Ford held quality a little longer than GM, but they're getting to the point of being near-peers with their more recent products, I think. They're just junk.

My girlfriend and I got a backup camera recall for our 2017 Mustangs the other day. The camera and wiring may fail due to a design flaw, causing people to back into obstacles or people. I don't care about it, I drive my Ranger so much more, I forget the stupid backup camera is there. My Catalina has no passenger side mirror because it was an option in 1979. Haha.

My question is, how hard is it to design adequate wiring for something that uses 12 volts, and the basic technology for a digital camera has been around for over 20 years? Why push something out the door you're not sure of to maximize profit and chance having to pay to fix it, which kills profit, vs just paying to fix it ahead of time? Along the same lines, internal combustion engines and hydraulic brakes aren't new, how hard is it to design functional oil seals and brakes? Do they not care poor brake designs will kill people, and they don't pay thousands for brand new engines to leak oil? Perhaps my Engineering and Business Ethics courses had a good impact on me. Haha.

Depends on which ford. My manager got a brand new 2022 F150 V6 and it already has a transmission problem and Cabin multimedia system going blank.

My friend got an ecosport and 2000 KMS has transmission shifting issues. He had a Ford Ikon (Released in India and got in in 2006). HE has put 3,16,000 kms and goes strong. His dad has a fiesta ford Diesel which has phenomenal gas mileage around 58 miles for a gallon with 2,50,000 kms.

I am not sure why a lot of these ford models have had issues . They are never like before.
