Ford Explorer feature disappeared.

Hello Scotty, I have a 2020 Ford Explorer ST with 108500 miles on it and I'm having an issue with it that me and my mechanic just can't figure out.

So about three months ago around the beginning of December I took the car in to the dealership mechanic because the front camera was having issues. After they replaced the camera and reinitializing it the lane centering feature for the car just...disappeared.

There was no codes, no error message, no flashing light or anything, it just wasn't there anymore. We can't turn it back on even after we restarted the software. The mechanic couldn't figure it out either so he had to contact Ford tech support for any information but we still haven't heard back from them.

I know these cars aren't the greatest or the sturdiest but I really love this car and I want to keep it in top shape.

P.S. I really like watching your honest reviews on cars and I was hoping you can do it on this car as well. I know it probably won't be good praises for the Explorer but I figured people should know what they're getting into if they plan to buy one. Also, I live in North Carolina so it'll be an easy drive for me to where you want to meet IF you want to meet. (I love driving to different states.)

Well, unfortunately I don't have a computer and software to work on those crazy features like land centering and save yourself from yourself warning systems. But obviously that camera has something to do with it and either the one that was replaced was not correctly made. I've even seen them come bad from the dealership parts department. Or the software needs to be upgraded. Good luck of that cuz I ain't going to imagine even at the Ford dealer they don't know how to fix something like that other than start replacing it piece by piece until it works which is what they usually do with the dealer

Thank you so much for replying. It's really disappointing how the quality of these cars have dropped recently. I'll keep trying with my car since it's still under warranty.
