I have a fuel leak under my engine. The repair place said the fuel line was broken and I waited a week for part to come in. After they installed it they told me it wasn't the fuel line afterall. They said it was the fuel pump and that meant an expensive repair because the whole gas tank had to come out. I didn't go for it. I still had to pay for the fake repair. When I look at the old part there seems to be nothing wrong with it. The rubber ends are still rubbery with no cracks.
I realized today that if it was the fuel pump, then the leak would be on the other end of the fuel line, where the tank and fuel pump are. I guess that the fuel tank is in the middle of my car because the fuel line is three feet long. It also has bends in it so I don't think fuel is traveling along it's length and miraculously only dropping off under the engine. So, what could be the actual issue then?
Find a real mechanic who knows what they are doing so you don't get ripped off again.
Scotty hasn't done a video about that.
