Fuel pump chirping like a cricket

Hi scotty, I have a 2016 Toyota gt86 manual 25k miles. When the engine is hot, it makes a loud squealing sound when idling. If I rev it up then the squeal is gone. It sounds like crickets chirping. I read online that it could be the fuel pump but noone has come up with a fix. Even Toyota say it's normal. It may be okay that it's not any damage but I still wish the sound would go away. How can I get rid of the sound?

that doesn't sound like a fuel pump, more like something in the serpentine belt routing. You could even for a SHORT time remove the belt and run the engine, rev it, and if there's no squealing then you know where to start looking. Take off the belt and check all the pulleys (water pump, ac compressor, alternator) and other bearings (idler, belt tensioner, etc.) everything the belt comes in contact with. Could even be a worn serpentine belt.

It's not something in the serpentine belt, because this is a common thing in subaru brzs, it's the fuel pump. How can I fix it?

How do you know it's the pump? Perhaps it's the drive belt (worn, out of alignment).

There are youtube videos on fuel pump replacement, specifically for the GT86. I still have my doubts about the fuel pump diagnosis, but here's a video on a fuel pump replacement for a GT86: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hy2PvLR2rpo
