Is a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 94000 miles for $10,700 is it worth the money I test drove it and I didn’t feel any problems
Is there any thing left of the warranty? I bought a Veracruz which is another luxury model made by Hyundai. I bought it for it's towing capacity and I hauled a trailer and a boat upstate for ten years with that thing. It came with a 10 year warranty which made repairs painless. When the warranty expired every place I brought it for repairs and even when I traded it in said " That's a fancy car! You must have lots of money". And I got soaked every time. I remember asking why a brake job for my Hyundai Santa Fe was less then half the price of the same work on the Veracruze. They said the parts were more expensive since it was a luxury model. I compared receipts and both cars used exactly the same parts like brake pads, rotors and calipers. They had the same part numbers. Be prepared. They are nice cars but they are going to bend you over with every repair. That's why what remains on the warranty is critical to making a decision. Why else would they be selling a 8 years old car that cost $60K when it was new for $10K. Make sure it is transferable to.
Yeah now it’s off the market someone bought it so I’m looking at different options
@MrBob can you please copy and paste your answers into the ‘Your Answer’ box down below? Thank you.
You dodged a bullet. Any Hyundai or Kia pushing 100k is a risk
Those become endless moneypits.
Problems from cars don't just come from 1 test drive. You can find a lot don't get me wrong, but a lot of tidbits are not really found until weeks later. This being said, I agree with @DayWalker. If you just want a sporty looking car, there are better options than the Genesis.
Yeah now I’m looking for a Honda Civic or a Ford F-150 or is there anymore sporty sedans that would be good to look at
I agree with the others just walk away.
How many years and miles do you plan to keep it for? It’s already approaching 100,000 miles and for long term ownership past that I would avoid Hyundai Motor Group products, especially 2010 and newer.
But why? In recent years, they are some of the top placers in consumer reviews and JD Power ratings.
We’ve already gone over this numerous times on this forum. I will let you use the search box on this forum to see why you can’t trust those (especially JD Power). Scotty has done videos as well - you can search those also.
Nah just walk away they fall apart when they get to 100k miles. Plus $10 700 is way too much for a Hyundai Genesis since they have no resale value.
Don’t think about buying it. Warranty ( if there is any) is a joke and for Hyundai and Kia only works for the original owner.
