I have a 99 Honda Accord and last night when I got outta my car the catalyst and exhaust pipe was glowing red! What does that mean and how do I fix that problem.i trust not just anyone but I'm outta the people whom I do trust they passed on and I only know so much of mechanic stuff let alone on a japanese car please help Scotty!

That is usually caused by unburned fuel being dumped into the exhaust system due to the engine misfiring. Is it running poorly? Anything suspicious in codes or live data?
The car should not be driven until the problem is fixed.

either the exhaust is super rich, or the cat has failed and clogged up.
Or both.
