I've been trying to fix an engine 2JZ-GE dying immediately after start for the last 1.5 months. The issue appeared after cleaning the throttle body (I've posted a few related questions within this timeframe).
Car: Lexus GS300 1995, automatic transmission, 250k miles.
The engine has 6 in-line cylinders. The displacement is 3 liters.
Below are the test results in PSI.
Do you have any explanation as to why the readings for the same cylinder differ so much?
For example, I did test for cyl. 5 for 121 PSI and redid it right after the first one for 144 PSI.
Any suggestions to make the engine run again?
Sparks tested - good.
Fuel tested by hearing and smelling: fuel pump pumps the gas good, it is clearly heard. After the cranking, you can smell gas. I don't think the fuel lines/injectors went bad right after cleaning the throttle body. The cold engine starts almost immediately (as usual), so I don't think it's the bad fuel pressure.

Sad betray your engine is just flat worn out you have such a difference and pressure from 205 to 136 the engine basically is just worn out
The rings are shot. Time for en engine rebuild.
So if the piston rings are bad, the compression readings would be different every time I do the test? I thought, even if they are bad, I would see consistency for the same cylinder like 120-123-119-122 PSI so that all are around 120 PSI
