How to break-in a new car engine?

Scotty,

I have a new F-150 4x4  King Ranch PowerBoost with the 6'-7" bed on order & hope to get it in late Sept. Because I want to get the most out of this truck I am thinking to drive it a different speeds but easy for the first 1,000 to 1,500 miles. Then I am thinking to change the oil but do I put the factory simi-syinthetic oil or do I go 100% synthetic oil on the first oil change?

I beleive these new engines do not need as much brake in as say a remanufacture or special 350 that I bord and stroked out to 427CI. The crosshatch in the bores I know the rings need to seat but with this Hybrid Battery/Motor with 10 speed automatic not sure what all I should consider before I start to tow anything.

What do you suggest?

Check the owner's manual regarding the procedure.

For the oil, use full synthetic oil with the correct viscosity.

Use only the oil recommended by the mfg.
