How to I correct a AC problem on a 06 Ford Mustang GT?

I have a 2006 Ford Mustang GT DLX, Automatic with 97k miles. Currently it is blowing warm and the compressor clicks on for 10-30 seconds then off. The freon gauge shows 73 on the Red side and 75 on the Blue side, and from my understanding on your video that can indicate clogged expansion valve. I checked and the 06 Mustang GT does not have one, but has an orifice tube. Oh and the heat works fine.

I changed all the HVAC modules under the dash since 2 of the 4 were clicking. I checked and they are all working, I tested by putting my hand on each one as I changed the selector.

I also did purchase a new AC switch and O rings to replace that incase it has gone bad, which he repair manual said that can cause this as well....i have not done that yet.

I am tiring to change as many things before having to have the freon removed...If I have to have the freon removed I was going to change out the orifice tube, and I was thinking that if I did that I might as well change the compressor so I didn’t have to do that if the orifice tube was not the problem.

Please let me know your thoughts, if you were still in Houston I would come by and see you to take a look.

If you're seeing about the same pressure on both sides of the system while the compressor is actually running your compressor is not working. (Usually if the orifice tube is clogged it is due to the compressor failing and loading it up with debris, though it can also be caused by the desiccant sac in the drier breaking up.)

When the compressor does engage the red gauge does jumps down to 50 and then back up to 73, and the bluw side does not move.

Sounds like compressor is not working. With a working compressor you'll typically get higher than normal high side readings with a clogged orifice tube.
