I’m looking at buying a 2021 Hyundai Veloster N and was wonder about reliability and was wondering if I should get the manual transmission or the DCT

If you intend to own long term and put as much mileage as possible on it, I would recommend a Honda Civic Type R or Si instead. Hyundai quality is just not there, esp. long term. If you absolutely must have it despite our warnings above, lease it and get a manual, and make sure it is always under warranty and then get rid of before the warranty expires.
Never buy a Hyundai. Even with the new car warranty.
So they'll fix it every time it breaks. Do you value your time at all? The warranty doesn't cover that.
They are pretty reliable for the first 100K miles. New Hyundais come with the 10 year/100K powertrain warranty so you have good piece of mind. If you plan to get rid of it by then, it should be pretty trouble free with the manual transmission. I personally would not buy a Korean performance car because they're not known for making the best engines. Also consider a Subaru WRX STI or Civic Type R - they are more expensive than the Veloster N, but much better built.
Don’t do it.
Why would you want to spend your hard earned money on known junk? Spare yourself the heartburn & regret a few years into the ownership & get a Civic or WRX instead.
