I am seeking a definitive answer to my question, in which I have gone back and forth with several friends and acquaintances. In a way, I can see yes and I can see no.
Please help me? I am wondering especially because I do smell gas in my crankcase, and it is clear as day a mixture is there when you smell/taste the oil. If in fact, that could be a culprit, that is one more thing I need to do to my Del-Sol.
Thanks, guys!
Well what's the reason for asking this question? Of course you can start your car if there is fuel in your oil. You can start your car without any oil actually (I don't recommend this lol). Is there fuel mixing with your oil? It's probably because your piston rings are worn down to the point where a whole bunch of blow-by is getting past the pistons into the crankcase. You want to make sure your PCV system is working flawlessly so all the fuel vapors escape from the PCV valve.
