I'm trying to figure out why my 2001 Honda CR-V idle is so crazy.

Hello. I'm trying to figure out why my 2001 Honda CR-V idles so weird. To address the issue I've had two motor mounts fixed under warranty, replaced the sparkplugs, I'm trying figure out how to detect a vacuum leak (afraid of the risk of fire), wondering if my car has a messed up MAS or something. Also not sure how to clean fuel injectors, or if it's not necessary. After a Honda dealer inspection I was told the throttle cable was loose, so I adjusted that too.

A problem I've had recently is that the Idle went so low it stalled the vehicle. Idle regularly goes up and down with inconsistent RPMs (~500-1500), but not turning off the car like that. Sometimes turning steering wheel would also lower Idle. I swear I hear air in a high pitched whine under the hood, but I might be going crazy.

Honestly, I'm an amateur at this stuff. Some direction would be great.

2001 Honda CR-V LX ( I think)

Odometer- 132624

Automatic 2WD

OBD reading said "No Codes" so nothing major in the computer right?

Bought a month ago from a dealership (wasn't Honda) Really well maintained as far as I can tell.

Look up on how to clean the "idle air control".

The little screen carbons up and wrecks the idle.

It will run good cold, and then stumble and stall as the engine warms up.

Also, clean the throttle body if it wasn't already done.  Scotty has a video on that.

Throw a can of Gumout in the tank for the fuel injectors.

Did you check your air filter?

Well check for vacuum lights on using WD-40 spray it all over if you get one area and the other goes wonky and all the leak is in there it often is a vacuum leak on the Honda. And you can also try this if it doesn't conk out when you leave it in neutral that would mean that it could be the torque converter is wearing on a transmission in that case you kind of live with it and leave it neutral when you come to a stop and I got to sit for a while

Hey Scotty thanks for the advice. I tried those and ended up finding nothing. After the inspection at the Honda dealership, they showed that it was a wild goose chase looking for an idle issue, and that I should focus more on the suspension. Here we go tie rod end!
