In real life conversations, how do you refer to driving a manual transmission?
I usually referred to it as a Stick or Stick Shift. For example, "Can you drive a stick?"
Just "stick". A car is either "auto" or "stick". {black}:laughingoutloud:
Stick is my preference.
I say “manual” or “stick”.
Though I don't drive one I always refer to one as Manual Transmission.
I have never called it stick or standard like lots of mr. americans call it.
In my primary language I say "do you drive manual car?" Another way of saying it is "straight" transmission.
As someone who just bought and started driving one of these, I usually say stick shift or manual (transmission). I also forgot you can say standard to describe them til reading this poll.
Yeah man, I don't think I have ever called it a standard (transmission) either, at least on my own.
