Scotty what do you think about the 2017 Infiniti qx30 my mom got a used qx30 in the winter of 2020 no problems so far but recently the driver air bag stopped working and she got it fixed but that's the only problem she's had.

It is named Infinity because that's how long it will take to pay for it.

The Infiniti Q30 was developed as part of the partnership between Mercedes and Renault (owners of both Nissan and Infiniti).

This car wasn't very long lived, the production run was only 3 years long and only 30K units were sold in the US.

Reliability on these is questionable at best, Infiniti used a small turbocharged 4-cylinder (the Mercedes M270) but it's an older design used on Mercedes B-class taxies - I've seen them go about 150,000 miles. Really not bad for a turbocharged small 4 cylinder.

The transmission on the other hand is a 7G-DCT, also known as the 7DCT300/7DCT350 - a gearbox also used on the BMW X2 as well as budget Renault cars.

Although it drives nicely, it costs a fortune to maintain (fluid changes should be done every 40k miles) and it does cost quite a bit to repair (once you'll need a clutch change it tends to cost many thousands of dollars) these also tend to be the weak-spot of most cars sometimes going out completely even before 125k miles.

As for the rest of the car, I do not know what exact parts were made by who so I can't comment on that.

Although it's decent,

Just don't keep it for too many years (or you'll end up with no access to parts, as these cars are rare) also I wouldn't put too many miles on it as it is a chic small hatchback built in Europe (North East England to be exact) so don't expect it to hold up like the older Infinitis back in 05-08 used to.

Thanks but I knew that partnership already 😂

Good for you.
This partnership ended in 2020 when Renault sold off their part of Daimler this killed the Q30 / QX30 and ended Mercedes’ use of Renault built components (now they’re just built under license and slightly modified)

They are rolling out a process to kill off Infiniti in the next couple of years, and make them just a fancier version of Nissan products.
(similar idea to “Nismo”, but luxury oriented) instead of a proper luxury brand. (This is mainly cause Nissan is once again failing to make any profits)
FYI.

Good when newer and low miles. They fall apart with age and many of the gadgets start to fail.

How many miles on the car?

They are fun cars to drive but expensive to repair when they age and you put mileage on them.

At the beginning it had 33,432 miles

First up, that's not really an Infiniti, it's just a Mercedes GLA 250 with an Infiniti body, they are endless money pits with all those Mercedes Benz gadgets and engines. If you want a real Infiniti SUV that can last, the FX or EX crossover are the ones to have, great cars.

Lol I noticed by the glass to the brake light housing and the Mercedes brakes. Keys too😂

and the switchgear is pretty much Mercedes lol

See below:  the dual clutch transmission (DCT) is definitely the deal breaker especially if she plans to keep the vehicle for a while.  Not sure how many miles yours has but I wouldn’t keep it past 100,000 miles.  Definitely, stay on top of the engine and DCT fluid change intervals.

Solid nice cars.. no very problematic

It's a rebadged Mercedes GLA, I'm not sure I could call that "solid".

They're not terrible but defiantly not solid like an QX80.
