Hi Scotty,
I have a 2012 Honda civic LX with 71000 miles.
I had an aftermarket radio installed by a shop here in Nashville, TN. After getting the car back, I noticed the car would buck upon applying the gas from a complete stop. It even sometimes shuts the car off completely. It seems as if it's not getting enough power. I took the civic back to the shop that did the radio. A few things to note, they ran a diag on their car (as did I) no codes and the car is idling normally. Alternator is up to spec and the battery is brand new. I also changed the spark plugs for giggles to see if that did anything. What the shop believes is it could be the throttle intake. The idle may need to be relearned as well by the computer. Torque converter was an idea but the car shifts fine in all gears when revving the engine on the highway. The shop said it's unlikely it is the radio as it requires a lower amount of amps than the stock radio. That said, you have any ideas?
I appreciate your help.

Did they disconnect the battery while working on your car?
They said they didn't but who knows.
Check for any vacuum leak first. Clean the MAF sensor as well and drive it for couple of days. If the issue still exists, you may need to analyze the live data. Btw, do you have driving issues on highway?
No issues on the highway.
That’s a good sign.
