Scotty : You are my most watched person on you tube.  I  worked supervising maintenance  in the mineral processing(coal) industry for many years , I had been trained to change lubricants on a routine basis.

However, my girl friend's  car is a  2014 toyota corollla.  It runs and shifts  fine.

She currently has 160K miles on it , but she has never changed the tranny fluld.   She does use mobile 1 engine oil and changes it on a regular basis.   I know you say that it would be best NOT to change the tranny or CV fluid with higher miles on the car.   Do you think she can still get  possible 400k plus miles on the car with the same tranny fluid ? She would like to keep the car a few years more.  She puts on about 25K miles a year on it currently.

Merry Christmas Scotty ....BTW ,  I try to get to your videos every day. I try to learn something new every day  and  I enjoy them very much .  Hope you stay on for a good long time.... God Bless.

I would change it via a drain and fill. Avoid flushing it and you should be fine.

I forgot to mention, I have about a 50/50 consensus of people I have talked to about LEAVING the existing CVT Fluid alone, plus I have had people tell me that they have drained and only replaced about 50 percent new fluid , SO ,that is why I am asking Scotty to confirm .

Scotty recently said that doing a drain and fill on a Toyota with this kind of mileage is fine because Toyota transmissions are so well built. He said that he would not do it on an American made car.

yes I remember seeing that . Thats why I thought I would send in the question to see if Scotty would reply. thx for your reply.

toyota dealer said NOT to change it, so HERE I AM ......
IT IS .....as I stated.....everyone seems to be 50/50 on change it or not......
somehow ,I remember Scotty saying "leave it in " .

No, he doesn't. Scotty was talking about conventional automatic transmissions, not CVT.

You should absolutely change it now, and change it often.

the dealer would rather sell you a replacement transmission. Or car.
