Hi, I recently bought a 2012 Subaru Forester back in October with 176k miles on it and was wondering if I should keep or sell it. I am new to cars and this was my first one so I bought it because I live in a heavy snowy area. I frequently travel about 300miles round trip, once a month and noticed it burns oil like crazy. Also the motor has a weird crying sound when I travel up hills, which is frequently. I have had a few mechanics check it out and claim there Is nothing wrong with it. It has used tons of quart oil bottles and I haven't even done my second oil change yet because it hasn't hit over 4k miles. There are also smaller problems like rough idling, window motors giving out, etc. Should I keep it or look for something better? Any ideas on what I should get if I do sell it?

Have you changed your pcv valve to help the oil burning?

Have you cleaned the throttle body to help the rough idle, maybe Idle air control too? Check the FAQ for other tune up tips.

Might want to consider ats205 carbon clean as well.
