So I have this 99 gmc 3500 with about 168k miles on it with custom bed from knapheide. The truck had 4 holes in the back for brake lights so I decided to add 2 reverse lights since the truck didn’t have any but when I tried to find the wire for it it was missing. I was wondering where does the reverse light work from so I can run a new wire? Does it connect to the transmission or somewhere under the steering column? Thanks for the help
You're going to need a wiring diagram. If you can't find one online since AutoZone owns AllData you may be able to get one printed out there. Some libraries carry repair reference material. Worst case scenario is you could sign up for an inexpensive 30-day subscription to ALLDATAdiy and have access to all of your vehicle's service information.
