Hey Scotty,
I have a 2014 Chevy Camaro 2lt, and it only has 12,000 miles on it. The problem I am having is after each use the key always gets stuck in the ignition, if I leave the key in the "off" position for a few minutes the key comes out with no problems. I discovered that if the key refused to come out I could start the car up again and shut it off, this resulted in the key coming out without getting stuck. I have no idea what could be causing this. The problem comes and goes but it is very annoying to deal with. Also, The car does have remote start. Please help me! thank you.
@israel_e
my car does that when something is disconnected like a plug or a part. make sure everything is connected. when you connect the plugs together you need to hear a CLICK SOUND, if you dont its still NOT CONNECTED properly
chose the poor quality of GM that the ignition switch is sticking already but since you run it and then turn it off it could be an electronic problem though I would hazard a guess that the tumbler assembly for the ignition is starting to break down you might spray some WD-40 in there and see if it helps
@scottykilmer
correct, wd 40 will clean up & lubricate it. i have followed your recommendations. thank you
