Hyundai's and Kia's used to be cheap, short-life, unreliable cars. But that's changing, they're being made better, and reliability improves every year.

But are they up to the level of their competitors ? Almost all North American reviewers and testers say something like "not yet".

But don't accept the written word of some stranger in some forum. Get out in the real world and find out for yourself !

If possible, don't just do quick walkarounds and short test drives, rent the vehicles you are considering and drive them for a few days. Give yourself some real-world, objective information of these vehicles, research objective reviews made by industry professionals, and take everything with a grain of salt.

And when someone says "Toyota's are better", always ask "Why".
