Hi Scotty,
I work in the navy and often leave my car unused for 2 or 3 months at a time. What should i do to the car during this time ? Any tips ?

Inside storage with electric. Treat fuel and use battery maintainer for charging. Make sure all fluid levels are topped off. When returning return car to service "gently" by returning systems to light duty and recheck all systems and overall conditions.
Use "Stabil Marine 360" fuel stabilizer all the time with every gas purchase.
Do not overdose it or simply dump in and park the vehicle...it is highly concentrated.
Disconnect battery. It will hold its charge for months.
Storing it in a tightly sealed, climate controlled storage unit would be the ultimate...big problem will be rodent infestation...they love to build nests and chew wiring insulation. Their waste is very corrosive to bare wires and wiring connectors...that damage is as bad as road salt.

Disconecting battery works fine for older cars with no computers. For modern ones this option is not recommended.
Well, the initial start-up after sitting so long would do the most engine wear. But it's not that often to matter.
Maybe over-inflate the tires to 40psi so they do not go flat. Fill the gas tank to the top to avoid condensation and degradation.
Someone else may know a gasoline additive that will help storage.
Just my opinion of course, but my first choice would be reputable LTS (Long-Term storage) facility. They used to be fairly easy to find around military areas.
Otherwise, perhaps leave it with family or trustworthy friends ?
