Long term issues with newer AMG cars

Long time viewer of your YouTube channel! Appreciate the amazing content. I recently bought a used 2018 E63S AMG. It had about 22k miles on it. I’m very used to the higher end American sports cars, I’ve owned 2 Hellcats, 2 Camaro ZL1s a Shelby GT350 and figured it was time to change it up. I absolutely love this car and so far after about 8k miles the car is driving beautifully. I’ve had Mercedes do the required maintenance including transmission and differential services as I hit 30k miles. My question comes to longer term ownership. Repair costs aren’t much of a concern but I was wondering if there are any major concerns that come with these cars I should be watching for. My wife also has a 2019 Jeep Wrangler so I guess you could say we hate money! We keep a slush fund for unexpected/scheduled maintenance as it stands. Thank you!

German brand luxury cars are by far some of the worst vehicles made for long term ownership. Loads and loads of nonsense electronics and crap engineering. Keep that slush fund full cause you’re going to need it not only for the Benz but that Italian/ French made Jeep as well.

I would trust my grandfather's 1981 diesel 240D much more than any new Mercedes; no nonsense electronics and definitely better quality than they are now.

Actual warnings on the display of a brand new Mercedes EQS.

Welcome to the future.
