Hello Scotty.
First, I would like to let you know that I have been watching your YouTube videos for many years and have learned a lot, thank you for that. I finally decided to become a member because a check engine light keeps coming back up no matter what I do and is kicking my behind.
I have a 2015 Nissan Sentra SV 1.8L. I bought the vehicle with a transmission slipping problem from a private seller in Facebook marketplace. I ended up buying a new transmission and installed it, the vehicle runs great and I do not notice any drivability issues, but the MAF sensor code keeps coming back.
I have done the following in the attempt to fix the issue:
*I have checked for Ohms between the four wires from the MAF to the computer plug and all the 4 wires read 0.04 Ohms
*Cleaned the throttle body and reprogramed the ECM as well as the TCM because why not I already have a new transmission in it.
*I found out the alternator was only putting out 12-13 volts and sometimes it used to stay at 12. something, so I decided to change it out which was a pain. with the new alternator is reading 14.2 and goes down a little but goes back up to 14.
* I changed the throttle and the check engine light didn't come back up for about a week, I thought it was fixed and the beast came back on.
* I attempted to clean the MAF sensor
*I have also swapped batteries
The mile on the vehicle is 167,000 I was thinking of doing a compression test and checking the exhaust if it's clogged. Maybe I should have done that first, but the vehicle had no drivability issues. I hope maybe you can point me in the right direction. Thank you very much.
What is the code? Most of them have multiple possible causes, some of which may not be obvious. What does the MAF sensor data look like?
The code is P0101.
The code is P0101.
Did you check MAF sensor data? Note there are other conditions that can trigger the code that should be checked out:
