Does anyone know anything about Mopeds?

I bought a 150CC moped and it vibrates a lot and it jerks on acceleration

Could you post a picture? Some mopeds have a motor put on a regular bicycle, some are built AS mopeds. What you'd need to check/fix depends on which you have.

How do I send a picture on here it's kinda confusing

There's nothing confusing about it. Perhaps you just missed it when you read the "Read this first" post that is displayed prominently near the top of the main page.

In short, just put your picture(s) up on a file sharing site and post the link(s) here.

Technically in order to be a Moped, it has to have pedals that can move the bike. Sounds like you have a scooter not a Moped.

Chinese scooters are known for being pure junk. Most bike shops won't touch them.

As for the vibration, all single cylinder bikes vibrate, all of them.

The jerking is probable the result of a poorly made centrifical clutch as most smaller scoots have only a one speed trans.

My advice? Get rid of it and if you still want a scooter, get a Honda or Yamaha. Chinese scoots are cheap for a reason.

Good Luck

OK, now I know what I'd check - if it vibrates even when the scooter is not moving, check that all the nuts and bolts are tightened. If it vibrates only when you are moving, and the vibration changes as you speed up, then you probably have an unbalanced tire.

For the jerking on acceleration, you most likely have a centrifugal clutch. Most of them have an adjustment that could affect any jerkiness. Note that most of these clutches are in the engine/trans oil, so using a type of oil other than that recommended by the manufacturer could cause improper clutch operation.

What is the brand and model? Do you have a manual for it?

Well, I have owned 3 of them. 2 strokes?

So if you know anything about them I have a question then I bought a 150CC moped and it vibrates a lot and it jerks on acceleration

I brought the bike back to the shop maybe like 4 times they're Chinese I tried to explain to them they don't seem to find any issues with the bike sowith the bike so I don't know what to do

I agree with the other answers. I'd say you have a problem in the primary drive components. (because it's jerking)

It's either due to warping, damage to the front variator/rollers, or just contamination/dirt which is causing the rear clutch to catch and slip (jerking).

The good news is that you can buy a primary drive component kit (they call them transmission rebuild kits) on ebay for under $50.

They include the front variator w/rollers, the (rear) clutch, and a new drive belt.

The replacement is pretty easy too. Probably about 1 hour of work.

That's how we'd do it in America. Pay the $50 for the kit, install the brand new parts, cleanup the primary drive case of any crud, and take the least amount of time to do it.

The kit looks like this:

In other parts of the world where those scooters are sold they don't share our philosophy.

They actually fix what they have if at all possible. (maybe because they don't have access to parts or fast shipping like we have). ((More likely it's because they aren't willing to spend money on new parts if all that's needed is to cleanup old parts)).

While researching your problem I came across a video of a guy in India fixing a scooter that was jerking like yours does.

It's not the same scooter but it's the same type of primary drive.

I couldn't understand 99% of what he's saying. I didn't have to.

If you watch the video you can see what's causing your scooter to jerk and you can see how he fixes it without buying any new parts.
