hello how are you? maybe you can help with this..I purchased a 2022 yamaha fjr 1300 brand new..put 27,000 trouble free miles on it in 18 months..20,000 of those miles were on long distance trips with the other 7,000 locally..went on a 5,000 mile trip with 3 friends and parked the bike..a week later went to go start it and it wouldnt start, had it towed to my dealer.a day later they call and was told that the bike had catastrophic engine failure due to bad gasoline..20,000 miles were with fillups at never the same station and 7,000 locally at 3 gas stations where I have filled up for 20+ yrs and over 400,000 gas issue free miles. do you feel gasoline could have been the cause of the engine failure? thxs for any help-Mitch

This doesn't sound right - Yamaha recommends "regular unleaded with a pump octane of 86 or higher" which is the default cheapest gas almost everywhere. I could see a failure if you hadn't done oil changes or let it overheat because of coolant leaks. Any symptoms before this "catastrophic" failure?

I would take that bike to another (hopefully less crooked) dealer. Here's a forum for FJR folks.
