So my friend wanted to buy new subru wrx sti but as you all said they head gasket problem and new we don't know yet that subru fix them or not. So my friend is looking for Seaden not suv or crossover that can drive over snow with ease. He lives in upper side of Canada it snows more and he barely see the sun. If your saying buy an suv or crossover his wife have toyota 4runner trd. She uses for her work and he needs a car for his work so yeah subru was the only car that came in mind and I was gonna say get honda type r but idk if it can run on snow
Get an AWD Avalon .
Wait avalon I should I thought of that first your the best man. Also incase if he don't find avalon AWD how v6 camry AWD?
They are basically the same car (Camry V6 and Avalon), but Avalon is a bit more luxurious.
The STI is fine, if that’s what he wants. It’s a perfectly fine, reliable car if you don’t drive it like a maniac. Not that I’m recommending it, it’s a horrible daily driver.
But if he wants a AWD sedan that’s good in snow, Subaru is absolutely the gold standard. Best AWD systems in the business (though Honda’s is pretty good too), good ground clearance for drifts, and low center of gravity with the boxer engine geometry.
If he is worried about the STI powertrain, he could go with the regular WRX; it’s been out a few years now and is showing good long term reliability. The Legacy is a bit more sedate, but solid. And the Impreza, though kinda plain-Jane, is the definite bang-for-the-buck winner.
Theres a reason Subaru is so popular in snowy places like CO and VT. Don’t overthink it.
Test drive a few first. Then make a shortlist.
What’s the most popular sedan in his area?
It's either dubru or suv or crossover that is about it.
