hey Scotty.
I have a 2014 Tacoma with 100,000 miles. Automatic with the 6ft bed. It’s the 4 cyl. I live in the Virgin Islands. Sometimes I have to carry bags of cement or lumber in the back of my truck and I can feel that it’s struggling to carry these loads. Especially while going up hills. I figured I can save up for a year, sell my Tacoma and get a v6 Tacoma or a Tundra. My truck doesn’t have any mechanical issues and it’s still in good condition.
My question is, can I just beef up the suspension and engine to be able to carry heavier loads? Wouldn’t mind saving 20k. But if I have to spend it, I guess I will have to.
No, beefing up the suspension will not get you more power. There is no substitute for cubic inches. What do you mean by "beef up the engine?"
@Doc “beef up the suspension AND engine”
Once again I ask - What do you mean by beef up the engine???
